Feedback for this consultation has now closed.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback regarding the planting plan for replanting the area along the western edge of Park Terrace, Waikuku Beach. Staff will be taking a report to the Woodend Sefton Community Board regarding the feedback from this consultation and seeking approval of a final plan for planting. Last month the macrocarpa shelterbelt along Park Terrace was removed.
The hedge was removed after consultation with the community regarding the ongoing maintenance costs of the shelterbelt.
Replacement planting will take place with approximately 1,300 low-growing native shrub and tree species planted on the site that was previously occupied by the hedge.
