Scooter Trial Survey

The Waimakariri District Council commenced a six month trial of commercial hire e-scooters from 1 November 2021 after undertaking pre-engagement with select community groups most likely to be affected by the trial. This trial presents an opportunity to explore the impact of commercial hire e-scooters and to assess whether there is a place for this technology in the district as an alternative transport solution.

We are seeking feedback from the community - users and non-users of the technology - about their perceptions of the trial and technology to date so we can appropriately consider the impact of the commercial e-scooters.
