Survey: Draft CCTV and other Recording Devices Policy

The Waimakariri District Council is seeking feedback on a proposed policy for the use of CCTV and Other Recording Devices across the District.

The proposed Policy aims to provide a clear and consistent framework for how cameras and recording devices are used to support public safety, protect Council assets and assist with regulatory activities, while ensuring personal information is managed in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

Now we want to hear your thoughts. Your feedback will help shape the final CCTV and Other Recording Devices Policy to ensure it reflects community expectations around safety, transparency and privacy, before it is presented to Council for adoption.
