Consultation has concluded

In a recent survey, over 70% of our community stated that they’re either concerned or very concerned about climate change.

We want to work with the community in becoming more sustainable, improving our environment and mitigating our impact on the world’s climate.

We’ve developed a draft Climate Change Policy to ensure the Waimakariri District Council is well prepared to lead a response to climate change that is appropriate, timely, cost-effective and equitable.

This is just a starting point, the feedback you provide will help shape a comprehensive Climate Change Response Strategy for the Waimakariri District.
