Kaiapoi Night Market Business Survey

Council has received a proposal from a commercial business to run a weekly night market in the Kaiapoi town centre. The proposed night market would include a mixture of retail and (predominantly) hospitality vendors sourced locally or from Christchurch.

The market would take place once a week in the evening on a Sunday night, or as an alternative option, a Saturday night. It would operate between 5pm to 10pm.

The preferred operating location is 66 Charles Street, which is currently the Kaiapoi central park-and-ride site. The public transport services don’t operate from the weekends at this location.
