Allin Drive and Pegasus View Park Play Spaces

We want your ideas for Allin Drive and Pegasus View Parks.

The play equipment at Pegasus View and Allin Drive Reserves in Waikuku Beach have been well loved over many years and are due for a refresh. Given how close the two play spaces are to one another, we want to take a coordinated approach, ensuring they complement each other rather than duplicating features.

This project aims to deliver inclusive, modern play spaces that meet the Waikuku Beach Community's needs and create engaging places for all ages and abilities to connect and thrive.

Allin Drive Reserve

The reserve currently contains large grassy area, basketball net with a small concrete pad and a set of swings with two belt swings. The western boundary has recently been planted with a mixture of plants and fruit trees by the local community reflecting a desire to establish a small fruit forest.

Pegasus View Park

This park currently contains a seesaw, exercise equipment, mounds with a pipe tunnel, a grassy area with a fort and a fireman’s pole closer to Collins Drive, and two picnic tables (one near the Ensors Place end and one near the fort).

Collecting ideas

We want to gather feedback from the community about what you want to see at the Allin Drive and Pegasus View Reserves. We’d also love to hear your ideas about

what makes the Waikuku Beach community special. Is there something unique we could celebrate and include in the design of each reserve?

What happens next?

Once we’ve heard your ideas and gathered the feedback, we’ll use these to shape an initial concept plan for each reserve. We’re looking forward to sharing the plans with you and don’t worry, we’ll be continuing the conversation through another round

of engagement.
